What fits, what is exclusive to Pro, and how the OSMODO accessory system is growing.
Why would I make a small camera bigger with OSMODO 2?
OSMODO 2 turns a pocket camera into a steadier, longer-running shooting platform. More points of contact and added weight reduce micro-jitters and make starts, stops, pans, and handheld movement smoother than single-handle operation. It also gives you room for extended power, active cooling on Pro to help prevent heat-related mid-shoot shutdowns, filters, mounting points, and other accessories. And honestly, building a rig that fits your shoot is part of the fun.
What cameras is OSMODO 2 optimized for?
Camera-specific configurations are planned for DJI Osmo Pocket 3, DJI Osmo Pocket 4, DJI Osmo Pocket 4P, and Insta360 Luna Ultra. Each configuration is shaped around the camera’s controls, ports, and physical fit.
What is the difference between OSMODO 2 and OSMODO 2 Pro?
Both versions use the same compact, ergonomic, camera-specific foundation. OSMODO 2 Pro adds an Arca-Swiss baseplate, a battery-powered active cooling module with three modes, an external fan-control switch, and two external USB-C ports.
How does the OSMODO 2 Pro cooling system work?
The cooling module has its own internal battery and three operating modes controlled by a switch on the outside of the rig. Estimated runtime is approximately 5 to 8 hours depending on the selected mode and shooting conditions. Active cooling is exclusive to OSMODO 2 Pro.
What do the two USB-C ports on OSMODO 2 Pro do?
One port connects to the installed camera so you can charge it or transfer footage without removing it from the rig. The second port charges the internal battery used by the active cooling module. Both external ports are exclusive to OSMODO 2 Pro.
What filters and matte boxes fit the front mount?
The included adapter supports internally threaded 82mm filters and compatible 95mm clamp-style matte boxes. Its internal Ultrasuede hood helps prevent back reflections when using filters. The current OSMODO Halo ring light is compatible, and a 115mm adapter for larger professional matte boxes is planned.
What mounting options are included?
Both versions include dual cold shoes and multiple 1/4-20 mounting points. The top accessory port is the foundation for upcoming top handles, NATO rails, and additional OSMODO accessories.
What baseplates will be available?
OSMODO 2 Pro comes standard with an Arca-Swiss baseplate. A professional baseplate with 15mm rod support is planned for larger builds using V-mount batteries, transmitters, matte-box support, and other production accessories.
