Customize Your Magnet: Which One's Right for You?
Every MagCase includes a powerful base magnet, but you can personalize the experience with one of our signature covers. Here's how they compare:
Bare Magnet
Maximum strength and raw metal. Comes with an Ultra-Fabric pad to protect your surfaces. Best for stationary setups, but can scratch if used bare. Use at your discretion by removing your ultra-fabric cover.
Ultra-Grip / Ultra-Fabric
Peel-and-stick cover looks clean and sleek (no screws visible). Damps magnet slightly, but performance remains strong. Ideal for fixed setups. Ultra-grip prevents sliding movements while ultra-fabric slides.
Ultra-suede Magnet
Same plush suede used inside the MagCases. Available in your choice of color. Slightly reduces strength (a good thing) and protects both the magnet and your gear. Ideal for swappable setups.
Want to swap accessories like suction cups or Gopro mount? Ultra-suede is your friend. It protects the magnet and is easy to remove and reuse.
Need extras? Additional peel and stick magnet covers are available separately so you can replace or rotate them as needed.
Why Add a Magnetic Cover?
The magnetic covers, like the standard Magnetic Cover, AirTag Slot Cover, and Collapsible GoPro Cover are designed to block magnetism when your rig is not in use. This is especially useful when transporting your gear in a bag, where the ultra-strong magnets might unintentionally attach to metal objects or interfere with sensitive equipment.
While the bare magnet is exposed by default, using a magnetic cover is highly recommended for safety and convenience. Each cover is designed to snap on and off quickly while maintaining a slim profile. Choose a cover that matches your setup and workflow whether that’s the standard cover, AirTag tracking, or GoPro compatibility.
