What is OSMODO 2?

OSMODO 2 is a modular rig platform designed to turn a compact pocket camera into a more stable, expandable production setup. It keeps one shared cinema-box body and accessory system while using a camera-specific internal mount for a precise fit.

Creators can start with the mechanical OSMODO 2 Rig or choose OSMODO 2 PRO for integrated cooling and external USB-C access. Pre-built configurations arrive assembled for customers who want to spend less time building and more time shooting.

Which cameras does OSMODO 2 support?

At launch, OSMODO 2 is offered in camera-specific versions for:

  • DJI Osmo Pocket 3
  • DJI Osmo Pocket 4
  • DJI Osmo Pocket 4P
  • Insta360 Luna Ultra

The internal camera mount changes to match the selected model while the surrounding housing and accessory platform remain consistent. Choose the version that matches your camera before selecting a Rig, PRO, or pre-built configuration. Cameras are sold separately.

What changed for the second generation?

More control in hand

A deeper, contoured body is designed to give the rig a steadier, more comfortable hold without requiring bulky side handles.

A more complete optical front end

The front accepts standard threaded 82mm filters and compatible 95mm clamp-style matte boxes. An internal Ultrasuede hood helps absorb stray light and reduce reflections between the filter and camera lens.

Faster camera access

Quick-release buttons open the rear cover, allowing access to the camera without dismantling the surrounding rig.

A platform that can change with the shoot

Dual cold shoes, multiple 1/4-20 mounting points, and an interchangeable top accessory port create room for handles, rails, phone mounts, lighting, and other production tools.

How are OSMODO 2 and OSMODO 2 PRO different?

OSMODO 2 Rig

The standard OSMODO 2 Rig is the mechanical foundation. It includes the camera-specific housing, 82mm filter and 95mm matte-box interface, back cover, internal mount, top accessory port, and mounting hardware. It does not contain internal electronics.

OSMODO 2 PRO Rig

OSMODO 2 PRO adds an internal active-cooling module with three fan modes, two external USB-C ports, the OSMODO 2 Top Handle PRO, and an Arca-Swiss baseplate. One USB-C connection serves the installed camera while the other supports the cooling system, helping keep power and access available without repeated teardown.

OSMODO 2 PRO adds active cooling, external USB-C access, Top Handle PRO, and an Arca-Swiss baseplate.

Which OSMODO 2 configuration should you choose?

OSMODO 2 Rig — preorder price from $99

Choose the core Rig if you want the lightest starting point and plan to select handles, a baseplate, power, and accessories yourself.

OSMODO 2 PRO Rig — preorder price from $249

Choose PRO if you want integrated active cooling, dual external USB-C access, the Top Handle PRO, and an Arca-Swiss baseplate included.

OSMODO 2 Pre-Built Rig — preorder price from $399

Choose the standard pre-built if you want an assembled, cable-managed system with phone mounting and external NP-F power while selecting your own support accessories.

OSMODO 2 PRO Pre-Built Rig — preorder price from $649

Choose the PRO pre-built if you want the complete PRO foundation assembled with dual side handles, phone mounting, and external NP-F power.

Prices above reflect the ZOSS 3D storefront at publication and may change.

When will OSMODO 2 ship?
